Provincetown, Massachusetts Custodio J Silva Sr. 1926 — 2024 Custodio Joseph Silva Sr. passed peacefully in his home on June 4, 2024. He was 97 years old. Custodio, known as Joe to his friends, was born in New Bedford on Christmas Day, 1926, to Custodio Charles Silva (d. 1936) and Josephine "Josette" Tarvis (d. 1998), who migrated to America from Portugal. She was the loving wife of the late Joe McDonnell to whom she was married for 59 years. Delia was born in Galway, Ireland and immigrated to the United States in 1949. In her lifetime she resided in several communities including Canton, Fort Meyers, FL and Centerville. She was devoted to the Catholic Church and the Rosary.
